Hi, I am Judahpraise
I’m JudahPraise Acheampong, a Ghanaian-born, Virginia-raised visual storyteller with a deep passion for people, culture, and community. After immigrating to the U.S. with my family, my journey took me from the vibrant streets of New York to the quiet hills of Lynchburg, Virginia—each stop shaping my lens and deepening my appreciation for storytelling. What began as a senior-year elective in journalism unexpectedly bloomed into a full-fledged creative career.
Now a proud graduate of James Madison University with a B.A. in Media Arts and Design (Digital Video & Cinema concentration), I’ve spent the last few years capturing everything from soulful portraits and elegant weddings to high-energy sports content. Currently, I serve on the in-show entertainment team for the Washington Commanders, entering my third year crafting impactful visual experiences for a major NFL audience.
Through my brand, Praise Portraits, my mission is simple: to document meaningful moments and create visuals that reflect identity, purpose, and emotion. Whether I'm working with individuals, brands, or entire communities, I aim to make people feel seen, celebrated, and empowered through the power of honest, creative storytelling.
